Recycling / Waste

Background

Our workers can assist with sorting operations, site cleanup, material handling, route support, transfer station labor, debris removal, warehouse support, and general recycling and waste management labor needs while helping employers maintain dependable staffing coverage in physically demanding work environments.

We also provide labor support for baler operations, forklift and loader assistance, material staging, warehouse inventory movement, outbound truck loading, transfer station labor, debris removal, site cleanup, customer drop-off assistance, and general recycling facility operations.

We understand the demanding nature of recycling and waste management environments, including long hours standing, lifting, bending, and working in loud, fast-paced, and environmentally challenging conditions. Many facilities require dependable workers capable of operating within multiple shifts, maintaining productivity during high-volume processing periods, and following strict safety procedures involving gloves, reflective equipment, boots, lifting protocols, and OSHA-focused operational standards.

In addition to workforce reliability, many workers within our labor pipeline possess forklift certification and basic OSHA safety awareness prior to deployment, helping improve workforce readiness within warehouse, logistics, and industrial environments where material handling and equipment safety are critical.

Case Study

The Problem

  • Employees face high risks of being struck by objects, caught in machinery, or injured by, or even killed by, malfunctioning or unguarded equipment, such as shredders, grinders, and compactors

  • Workers in both formal and informal sectors often handle materials containing lead, mercury, and other hazardous chemicals, leading to severe health risks. Informal workers frequently suffer from lead poisoning due to lack of protective equipment

  • The manual nature of sorting involves repetitive motion (stretching, twisting, lifting) over long periods, causing significant injuries to shoulders, hands, knees, and backs

Our Solutions

Our teams are trained to operate within structured safety environments that reinforce proper use of PPE, hydration practices, lifting techniques, and communication procedures when working around industrial equipment and potentially hazardous materials. We also recognize the long-term physical demands associated with repetitive sorting, bending, lifting, twisting, and standing for extended periods, which is why our crew-based supervision model emphasizes accountability, task rotation awareness, communication, and operational oversight designed to help reduce preventable injuries and fatigue-related incidents. In addition to workforce safety preparation, our employees are covered under our workers’ compensation policy, helping provide employers with an additional layer of operational support.
